How do we use Post-It notes?

Though it might not be the best to use Post-It notes that often due to massive wastage of paper, but somehow I find this is exclusively important to some that might find this useful.

Any typical Post-It notes will look like the picture shown above. And unlike ordinary notebooks, we will note that the stack of paper are being sticked in a form of zig-zag. This is a method to ensure that upon tearing the highest piece of the paper, we wouldn’t take off the rest from the bottom.

What we’ll normally do on it is to record down important meeting notes or dates.

Just in case we forget, we’ll find a spot where we can normally take on, and always work in front of the area. Upon finishing the writing, you can remove the top piece of the note which the note’s back will be sticky enough for us to stick on any common surfaces.

It’s best that we would stick the note right after tearing it from the stack of Post-It to avoid dusts sticking on the sticky area behind of the note. We’ll find a spot where it would be most obvious to always remind us of our task.

Enjoy!

How to shake hand with other people?

Perhaps one of the greatest gift in this world is the art of saying hello, using our body language. In which it could generate a lot different response on different culture, religion or beliefs. Sign language that we think that it might work and be friendly in one country might not apply in other. But here’s a quick guide on how you can use this global method of saying hello. Shaking hand.

First before proceeding, we’ll have to make sure that it’s best to keep our hand clean before  shaking our hands with our friend or any stranger.

Though it’s not a must, but it’s best practice to use your right hand to greet the other person. Do not hesitate to volunteer to offer a handshake upon meeting a new friend or colleague. It’s best also to lean your body slightly over the other person while shaking hand. Firmly hold the hand of the other person to complete the handshake.

It’s a general custom to apply less pressure during handshake towards female while for male, to express friendliness, there are some males prefer the handshake to be applied with moderate force. But please BEWARE not to apply too much pressure or force else you will end up hurting or offending the other person. With a motion of up-down, move slowly for 3 times before ending the handshake.

Once done, you can release the grip of the hand.

This step is not necessary but just to demonstrate that we have successfully demonstrated the art of handshaking. Enjoy!

How to drink and open from a newly packed fruit juice?

To enjoy a good fruit juice daily leads to good health it seems, apparently. And I had to thank Tuck Loong for voluntarily helping me through this guide. Unlike the old days where juice cartons are packed in a way where consumption is hard and we need to go through a lot of hassle and trouble. But there comes a new way of drinking it these recent year with a new way of packaging.

Of course at first we will have to purchase any of these fruit juice at our favourite superstores. And the very first thing we will have to check is the expiry date. Make sure it is safe to drink and at least best before 3 month of expiry.

First we will have to open the cap, and in case you found out the cap’s safety lid has been taken off, inform the person in charge of the store to replace it for you, or do not purchase it. This happens a lot where there are bad people drinks from it without paying and leave the half opened carton there for sale.

And we will also have to peel off this safety lid.

And once we’re done,  rejoice! and enjoy!

How to prepare instant noodle (II)?

In this guide I will share with you some quick guide in preparing an instant noodle from Korea that I bought from the shopping mall recently. Which I guess is not that hard. Hope you’ll enjoy it.

With this imported from Korea itself, which some of the flavours are KimChi, do expect it’ll cost a lot more than the usual instant cup noodle you’ll eat, this one is around RM2 or more.

Kindly start by opening the package and the lid of the cup.

As you open, you’ll normally have both the seasoning and the fork.

By opening the package of the seasoning, you can now start to pour it into the cup, the amount you are going to pour is up to personal preferences.

Provided as well inside the package are the foldable plastic fork which you can use to eat the noodle when it is prepared.

To prepare the noodle, you’ll have to first prepare hot water from either a kettle or cooking it. You can learn how to boil water using a kettle.

Next, close the lid and wait for 3 minutes or more for the noodle to be prepared. Enjoy!

How to drink from packet drink

Our old time children favourite, which packet drinks came in different flavours and colours. Here I would like to share this guide to drinking from a packet drink.

Here’s how a generic one would look like, with the straw and placed together by the side of the packet.

First we will have to take out the straw from the packaging.

And once we remove the plastic that is enveloping the straw, which on the bent side are to face upward, we will insert the straw into the packet drink.

Look for the ‘Insert Straw Here’ indication on the top of the packet drink. And with little force, it’s best to hold the packet drink with your other hand so the drink wouldn’t be spilled on all over the table.

And when you have insert it in, you can push it right deep inside the packet drink. Enjoy.

How to wash cloth

This is a crucial part in our life we believe, unless you're lucky enough to have maid to do it for you. Here it's a way of washing your cloth using the most ancient washing machine (applicable to most modern washing machine as well).

wash(0).jpg
So you have a bunch of smelly clothes waiting to be washed by you.

wash (1).JPG
Waste no time and we'll put it inside the washing machine for a go.

wash (2).JPGwash (3).JPGwash (4).JPG
Switch on the power, turn up the water supply, and do some necessary setting before moving on.

wash (5).JPGwash (6).JPG
For this ancient washing machine, i'd have one at home. Instead of pressing on digital switches or button, you'll have to 'pull' the plug to make it start to run. *pok*

wash (7).JPG
Make sure you turned the dial to the desired mode before switching it to run.

wash (8).JPG
If everything's done correctly, at this phase you'll have water pouring into the washing machine.wash (9).JPGwash (10).JPGwash (11).JPG
You can start to put in all of your clothes and pants. Notice that you'll probably need to turn all of your apparels 'inside-out', to make sure that the washing machine washes the 'inside' clean. Because you'd wear it inside right?

wash (12).JPG
One worthy note, try not to overload your washing machine with too many clothes or pants.

wash (13).JPG
Next, we'll find the suitable detergent (most of other chooses to use washing powder at this stage, which is really optional).

wash (14).JPGwash (15).JPG
Open up the cap, which usually we have different brands, one of the popular one are 'Dynamo' but it's expensive. Start pouring in the needed amount of detergent, usually half cup or quarter or the cup is sufficient.

wash (16).JPGwash (17).JPG
Once you've determined the amount of liquid you need, pour it inside.

wash (18).JPG
Now, sit down, relax and wait it to be washed.

How to take bus?

You might question that it's one of the toughest thing to go from 1 place to another using bus as a transport in Malaysia. Here's one simple guide on how you can reach your destination with just few simple steps.

takebus (8).JPG
Go to your nearest bus stop, which might varies for its look differently at different places.
takebus.jpg
Be sure of the destination that you want to go, for example, Kuala Lumpur (K.L.).Most of the buses will display their destination in front of their bus. You'll have to be observant of any incoming bus to see if they're going to the place you want to go. Do not afraid to ask other people around. Talk is free.

takebus (4).JPG
As soon you're sure of which bus to go into, prepare the correct amount of bus fare, because most of the time you won't get any changes back. But do ask the bus driver if you have no small change.
takebus (3).JPG
Here is an example of the bus ticket, modern. But also varies to different brand of bus.

takebus(0).jpgtakebus (2).JPG
Find a seat. If there is none, stand. Enjoy the trip.

Going down from bus
takebus (1).JPG
Notice the red alarm button on top of the passenger seat? That's for the passenger to inform the bus driver that you'll need to stop and go down from the bus. Do not simply press that, I'm sure you don't want to get beat up by the bus driver.

takebus (7).JPGtakebus (9).JPG
If you think you need to go down from the bus, approximately around 500m from the place you want to go down, press the red alarm button once, let's say if the bus driver doesn't stop after he passes the bus stop, press it again, do not abuse it! And if he doesn't stop, you have 2 option, a) talk to him nicely, let the driver know you need to stop, or b) call the police

takebus (10).JPG
Before going down, wait until the bus is stopped before going near the exit on the rear door. You don't want to start rolling inside the bus when there is emergency brake.

takebus (11).JPG
You are ready to go.
takebus (13).JPG
Say thank you and bye bye.
